Description
There is a dark sense of humor on display in Season’s Greetings, which appeared on a concrete garage wall in Port Talbot mere days before Christmas in 2019. From one side of the building, the image appears to show a child innocently catching snowflakes falling from the sky on his tongue, but when viewers turn the corner, they realize that what looks like snow is actually ash from dumpster fire. Port Talbot is home to the largest steel plant in the UK, and its residents inhale some of the most polluted air in the country.
Banksy’s satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have appeared on streets, walls, bridges throughout the world and this 1000pc puzzle
