Description
In Crayola Shooter, a child holds a machine gun that is loaded with crayons and stands amidst a field of colorful flowers drawn by children. Like many of Banksy’s pieces, this one juxtaposes the innocence of childhood against the harsh realities of war. This contrast is made even more overt by the different drawing styles used: the boy and his gun are drawn in a “grown-up,” realistic black-and-white style, while the colorful background of flowers are drawn in a childish doodling style.
Banksy’s satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have appeared on streets, walls, bridges throughout the world and this 1000pc puzzle!
