WARHAMMER
Welcome to the fantastic world of Warhammer! Warhammer is tabletop strategy focused wargame for 2 or more players. Each player will command an army of miniatures and do battle against one another in a bid to capture objectives and out score their opponent. Warhammer lets players design their force, from the miniatures chosen, to abilities, spells and a host of other rules, allowing players to completely customize their play style and test it on the table top. But playing warhammer is only half the fun! Building and painting your miniatures really brings your force to life and (particularly in these Covid times) is a wonderful hobby for younger players and adults alike.
Warhammer has two distinct worlds to play within, Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar.
WARHAMMER 40,000
In the grim dark future of the 41st millennium there is only war...
Warhammer 40,000 is set in the far future. Humanity is beset from all angles by terrifying alien threats, as well as, insidious rebellions and uprisings from within. The galaxy is in flames as mighty warlords lay ruin to those before them in the name of the Dark Gods. With dozens of factions to choose from, the valourous Space Marines, ramshackle Ork hordes, machine worshipping Adeptus Mechanicus or ever devouring Tyranid forces (just to name a few!) players may enter the fray as either defenders of humanity or its doom.
This is the time of turmoil… This is the time of war… This is the Age of Sigmar…
Age of Sigmar takes place in the many realms of a beautifully imagined high fantasy setting. Long has been the time of Chaos, where foul demons and dark followers ruled and preyed upon the innocent. But no longer! For the warrior god Sigmar has sent forth his armies to take back the lands from Chaos. The world is full of fantastic playable factions from the mighty Storm Cast Eternals to the marauding greenskin Gloomspite Gitz to ever marching skeleton armies of Nagash or the blood thirsty followers of Chaos and much more. Players choose a faction and play for conquest and glory within the realms of Age of Sigmar.
Both settings are a wonderful landscape to play amongst.
Warhammer is a tabletop wargame played with miniatures, dice, rulers and tokens. The size of the game is determined between the players, meaning you can play small tactical skirmishes or apocalyptic battles and anything in between. With a unique mix of rules, deck building elements and tactics as well as building, sculpting and painting Warhammer is both a fantastic game and very fun hobby. Both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar have a Starter Box (not essential but definitely recommended for new players) including two factions, dice and rules allowing players to battle straight out of the box. Recommended age is 10+
